Her blue eyes

Her blue eyes stared back at me.
“Don´t you dare.” She pleaded in a whisper. “Don´t you dare.”
I curved my lip into a smile. “I´d like to see you try to stop me.” I moved in closer. “I´d like to see you try.”
“Why?” The little girl asked. “Why are you like this?” I felt the laughter build up in my throat. Bubbling. Frizzing. I unlocked my throat and let it lose on her. She broke down and cried.
“Oh baby, don´t be like that.” She sobbed even harder. “Cheer up little one.” Bitch wouldn´t listen. A nice firm slap across the cheek only made it worse. A right hook shut her up though – for a while at least. She eventually woke up again, only to find me still sitting across from her.
“It´s not right.” She told me.
“That´s right.” I laughed.
“Then why do it?” The naïve little thing asked. She doesn´t get it. She never gets it.
“Cause it´s fun. Cause I like it. Cause it´s freedom.”
She struggled against her ropes. “You call this freedom?”
“Not your freedom you idiot, mine.”
“There´s no such thing. Freedom doesn´t come in individual packages, just like happiness.”
“How very philosophical of you. You think that´s gonna change anything?”
“No. But you are going to prove me right.” The bitch actually dared straighten up. Like she was in control, like she had any say in what was going to happen. She wasn´t gonna be there for much longer, and she knew that. She must have known.
“You are going to prove me right.” And her eyes were no longer filled with tears. Her eyes were no longer sad. Her eyes were her eyes, and she wasn´t gonna bow down to me. And there was no reason to delay. She wasn´t going to give me what I wanted. She wasn´t playing the game anymore. I lifted the gun up, pointed it straight at her stupid face, and I pulled the trigger. She fell to the ground. Nothing´s gonna stop me now. There´s no one left to stand in my way. Freedom. Liberty. My blue eyes stared back at me.
